    Hi guys,

I own since quite some time a SimXpirience Sim and that for used long time SC3 and 4 but I get tired of the lack of support for games and allover problems with SC4 Software.

I downloaded also long time ago SimTools and installed everything but somewhere I still have problems to get it work with my SCN5s.

    So far i got...
    Game Engine
    1. Interface settings setup for axis 1 and 2 (speed 10000, acceleration 500)
    2. When I start the Engine both SCN5s move complete from 0 to max and back in middle position
    3. Output Testing works with both SCN5 if I switch to AXIS OUTPUT but not in DOF Mode
    4. I have not adjusted anything in Axis Assignment for LFS yet because I dont have any preset for SimXpierience. How can I do this?

    Game Manager
    1. Load Default profile
    2. Patch the game successfully

I am not surer what is missing but I guess the Axis Assignment for LFS. How ever when I start the game my Game Manager reports "Game running" but nothing moves at all!

I appreciate your help guys, I imagine you hear this every day but it is a bit confusing for a noob.

thanks already for your patients with me here....

okay, I am a bit further.... I guess I was right and I am missing the Axis Presets for my SCN5

How ever this is pretty confusing for me I try to get LFS working but have not the smallest idea on how to use this Axis presets. Is there a place I could download Axis preset for LFS and the SCN5s or some tutorial on how to configure the axis?

It's not a SCN issue, it's just a configuration one. You don't need to download a preset for any game, those preset meant to be your standard configuration, a base to start fine tuning for all your game. Make a standard axis configuration (2dof in this case), save it like a preset and use it for LFS. Just look on the guide for any informations.

Thanks guys, I am starting to get this work here. I mixed up some things in my mind like the axis presets with the game plugins :) I was not sure what is for what in the beginning and I thought I need to buy as well axis presets. Now I have figured it out and got it work with LFS.

I just wonder a little bit about the little availability of finished axis presets from other users here and the need to adjust this for every single game always new. This is quite a tweaking as it seems but delivers good results as everybody also like these a little bit different adjusted I guess.

    So to sume this up...
    1. setup interface setting
    2. axis assignment for each single game according to your available axises
    3. get the plugin for the game you want to use and use with the game manager
    4. fine tune ....

    got it! :)
thanks guys I appreciate your help and later today I will do some tests. so far seems awesome,,,

    okay great...

You have a tip for me what is best practice to adjust for any new game the axis assignment. Like first pith and roll with x% something you do usually with filter etc? It looks for me that things are much better adjustable as with my old SC4 Software. Specially it looks like I have less shaking. My Cockpit used to shake just to much with tiny shakes for not really visible reasons, I needed to smooth out SC4 really a lot to be more comfortable.

I prefer stronger acceleration, brake and side forces but don't appreciate to wild shaking of my cockpit. How ever with SimTools I do not have this problems as I had in SC4.

Another doubt just come up... @noorbeast and @bsft

When I try to use OUTPUT TESTING in my Game Engine I can only get the Axis Output to move my SCNs but the DOF Output remains always dead for me. How ever in LFS everything works allright anyway but I wonder why I cant test in DOF output? Also Virtual Axis is working perfect when I start the game and I get all infos. I did load my Axis Assignment preset for LFS and all DOFs are defined but still DOF output test remain dead....what do I miss here?

Another question about the Tuning Center.
Lets say I have setup DOF1 to Roll 70% for Axis 1 and the same for Axis 2 but reserve... now I check in tuning Center and get there only numbers like 19 till -19 coming up. How do I have to interpret this now? Does this mean that I am way way off with my 70% anyway because the SCNs actually move anyway only 20% for this force? Which means several forces together would for example add together like Roll 20% plus Surge 20% would move the SCNs 40% (sorry If I am here complete wrong with this). What are some realistic % for Surge for example for a SCN5 in any Race game...(to get an idea if I am complete crazy with my %s of if they make any sense att all)

As I said I got it all work but would like to understand better the config.

@floripaoliver Best test playing a game and not using the ouput test.
You need to reduce tuning centre numbers right down. Wind the percentage of the force down to 20% as a start, then reduce the tuning centre numbers till it starts to move ok for you in that force.
Its not a matter of percentage of force versus tuning centre number.
Thats what the guide is for, go to tuning centre, click capture, manually change your numbers lower to get it moving, click save and test and re-test
