    I found these on ebay and thinking to maybe order them on next project. Only thing that i don't see are they linear?

    Wounded pot may be fine (some are fine) or not (jumps of values between position)...
    Cermet pot are perfect :)

    The price is for 10pcs of pot's so then they are cheap.

    Why spend all the time, efforts, money to build a nice sim and then use cheap pots that in most cases will let you down very often. IMHO, it's like putting recapped tires on a new Mercedes.

    +1 Cheap pots yield Cheap results. Spend a few $$ on quality pots and you'll NEVER want to run Cheapo Wire wounds ever again.

    I have had Hall effect pots on mine for 9 months and have not had to replace one yet. Bit more costly but a quality product

    These are wire-based resistors, so their resolution is awfull.
