    These photos show the first steps my DIY handbrake me, this is only the initial prototype I hope make the final version shortly.

    This is the normal position for a handbrake in WRC . The normal position as in a standard vehicle is too far from the hand and eye.

    In real Rally Car handbreak`s system works in the same way as normal foot break. It uses a hydraulic cylinder to create proper amount of pressure which brutally stops rear wheels - in the same time rear differential is disconnected from gearbox. Completely useless system on average cars but very efficient and necessary on Rally one.

    Yes confirmed. :D Not all, but many Rally Cars use this system today...
