    Hey there,
I'm Benjamin from Germany and I'm actually not really new to this forum, because I've been reading alot of your posts in the last couple of weeks. Even so many that I already build my own 2DOF seatmover :)
First of all, I've got to thank all of you guys for this whole amount of information about building this kind of stuff :thumbs
I'll open a build-thread in the next couple of days, but before that, there's this small and tiny little problem I have with my simulator that I need to get rid of: my racing wheel always goes into a mode of disconnect/connect/disconnect... as soon as i plug the arduino in. It doesn't matter if I try it with SimTools running through 1 or through 2 PCs.
Another thing I tried, was using different USB-ports, but no difference in behavior.
What I forgot to mention is that everything worked fine for the first something like 20 minutes in Assetto Corsa on Magione, but started when I tried to drive on Nürburgring Tourist... But I don't think that there is a connection, just pure coincidence.
I hope someone knows how to get around this problem, so thanks in advance :thumbs

    Greetings

    just a thought
might be that your USB cannot supply the power required with the arduino plugged in. Do you have an externally powered USB hub to try it with?

Both the wheel and arduino have their own ports on my pc used with usb-extensions, because the simulator and pc are around 5 metres apart. Shouldn't that already avoid supply related problems? Aside from that, it shouldn't occure when used through a 2-pc-setup where both have 2 different sources (not only through ports, but through 2 different pcs), or is it that i misunderstand how the supply works?

    Hey guys,
I've been busy since sunday, but finally found the reason why the wheel was "malfunctioning": my way of ground isolation didn't work as perfect as it should have, so there was a bit of voltage on the whole rig
But luckily nothing got damaged and everything works now :thumbs
So thanks for your replies :)

Glad you got it sorted @Godslayer, does that mean there may be a video soon of your rig in action?

Yeah, I think this weekend I should have enough time on my hands to do the start of the build thread and a short video.
Already have one about 30 seconds long from the first ingame-testing :thumbs
