    @noorbeast and @shannonb1 , yes, probably using bigger motors is the easier solution but it costs way more expensive.. @shannonb1 , yes sir, attatching the 2 extra motors in the front is also my plan B if it doesn't go well.. My idea is to connect the front motors in opposite direction with respect to their counterpart back motors..so it will be like the back motor is pushing while the front motor is pulling.. :) Thanks for the suggestion guys..please keep them coming.. :)

    nkghk.png Thanks @RacingMat ! your design was my main inspiration. Thanks for that information sir. I am really interested on your design that uses 2 moto monsters with 4 potentiometers.. My design was originally 2dof with 2 motors on each side..the two motors must be synchronized so that it will act as 1 big motor. This picture of your design really caught my attention..can you please give me the code for this kind of setup? any help would be much appreciated.. :)

    I believe synchronizing with wiper motors is going to be a big issue, but you wont know unless you try.

    @dustin incorporating the pedals makes for a good flight but poor feedback for racing.
    A little off subject thou.

    good day guys! This project will be resumed around june 2015! I'll be sure to keep you guys updated! Synchronizing the motors is surely tough and I'm still in the process of thinking and designing a circuit that will do the job.. Thank you guys for your support! :)

    @Jomar_Sarto i whish you success. If you will (hopefully not) fail by synchronization thd motors you could think about using linear springs which support the motors by lifting the weight. Springs are not advised in most cases but if nothing helps springs would be good and functional enough. I did some experiences and these result in a positive way.

    Thanks for the input @Pit! please tell mo more about these linear springs and on how to implement them.
    If synchronization fails, i'll put the two motors in front, add another set of h-bridge and an inverter to invert the signal from the master h-bridge input so as the back motor pulls, the front motor pushes..this my plan B if the initial won't work.. :)

    If the motors are too weak you can help the motors by reducing the total weight of the seat by adding some linear springs (or one if possible) as a solution if "nothing" more helps (does not matter whatever the reason is). Why linear? "Linear springs are the easiest to understand. When you think of a spring, this is typically what you are thinking of. As the load on the spring increases, the spring compresses an amount directly proportional to that load. So, if the spring is rated at 100lbs per inch, in will compress 2 inches when 200lbs is applied. "

    Now you mount "somewhere" in the middle under the seat (needs some calculations where to be placed) the spring like I did for testing purposes:

    I did so because at the beginning of my experiments my motors were too strong in opposite of the motor drivers. IMO I was very happy about this experience, it helped a lot :)

    Simple solution:
    1. One sabertooth 2x25A ( Can be any chinese H-Bridge, I have 2x43A working well. )
    2. One Velleman K8055n ( Can be any Arduino board)
    3. Four Wiper motors ( Nissan Micra) ( Do not forget !!! Cut off the ground from motor body )
    4. Two VISHAY potentiometers .

    hey guys I'm back! I would like to hear your input regarding the idea I came up today...
    As most of us thought that synchronizing two motors is tough challenge..so I came up with this solution:
    I will use two gearboxes with one motor... the concept is that I will remove the dc motor from the main gearbox that drives the arm then I will attach the output of the 2nd gearbox to the shaft of the main gearbox. I think this will theoretically increase the power exponentially because both gearbox are composed of worm gears.

    In my opinion, this solution comes with the following benefits:

    1) Lower stress on the DC motor
    2) Lower power consumption
    3) Possibility of eliminating the addition of second motor controller
    4) I can use the code with no further modifications
    5) Possibility of increasing the overall swing or tilt as we can use longer arms because of the added power

    Given those benefits, I am also guessing that this solution with have a MAJOR draw back.. I think that this setup will introduces a tremendously slow response given the gearbox setup.

    Is my theory correct? Can you help me solve this problem?

    If you mean using one gearbox output as the input of another gearbox then it is a double reduction, the disadvantage being the mechanical loss. For example you would be better off using a single 50:1 gear box than 2 x 25:1 gearboxes strung together.

    If that is not what you mean could you draw and post a picture.
