I remember seeing it a year or go on the web, and at that time is was 52000 plus shipping. Big numbers - out of my league for sure.

still, a video like that shows me enough detail to build a copy.
Then again, one of my dual racers cost me about $2000 to build.
and thats an all in one

I knew there was a CXC topic opened, but could not find under what name until now..

Anyway, I guess some of people here knows who DeadMau5 is and he got himself a brand new toy :)

He says "it's a little pricey, but worth every penny", surely is a little for someone who gets around 250K $ per performance and have net worth of 45 Million $.
I've read he recently bought himself a new villa for around 1.5 Mil. $, so whats a 100.000 $ for a simulator :grin

Money jokes aside, I actually like his passion for RL racing and sim racing, you don't often see famous people doing that. I would probably do the same thing if I were in his position :grin

holly shit the actuators are very fast. Really short moves but very aggressive timing. IMO this simulator simulates heave in two different ways, saying sway and heave combined - or I am wrong?

I just watched the "How's its made" video...

Wow! It's as though they were filming me when I did my build..... Except for the Windows 7 part.

    Obviously..

    :p

Think the camera vibrating played a part in that (not saying they are slow!!!). It seems if the motors are in the middle of the poles that move the seat, rather than at the bottom of the platform, they'd give a similar action no?

Also, I dont see the camera shaking,
and CXC rigs are $14k or parts with 500% markup

Nice, but if you had the dollars, why would you pick this over a simexperience stage 5? All this money for a 2DOFo_O.

Marketing...people will pay for complete, SimX still needs some putting together, CXC is all in one, plug in power, screens, go racing

From their website, they actually do on-site PC setups in the continental USA of course . For the money - same SCN-5 actuators, + GS4 seat, + traction loss, + simvibe stuff and their new 'Acuforce' wheel, for 22,500 delivered + on-site PC setup, it just seems a better deal simulator-wise.
