    Hello,

I'm new here (I already posted in new member), and after having spent some time on the site, my coin balance is already negative
Never mind, I'll make it positive soon I think. What is strange is that I downloaded the same file twice I think (SimTools_v1.3) and got charged twice. Is it normal ?
When you get a plugin, are you entitled to updates of this plugin or do you need coins each time you download new versions ?
I must say the coin concept is changing the way I browse forums. Usually, I download many things, but with this system I need to be more carefull.
What could be annoying is to get version X in a post and then notice version X+1 a couple of posts/pages later. It happened to me on other forums, so I guess it could happen here.

    Cheers,
    Vincent

The coin system is there to encourage forum participation. Coins build up pretty fast if you are reading and posting things to the forum, you get a coin just for reading a thread, more for posting.

You can purchase week long access to plugins for 250 coins and the latest version of a plugin will be found here, with update notices also posted to the forum: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/categories/downloads.1/

If you download a file from the download section it will cost you 10 coins each time.

    hello @vthinsel!

all the plugins are gathered in the resources sub-forum by developpers themselves, and the plugins files are versionned
so you cannot download an old version in an "old post" ;)

Have you pinpointed your location on the member map? http://www.xsimulator.net/community/memberMap/
    Eager to see your contribution!!

You get coins pretty quickly by being active on the forum. I have gotten over 300 coins in a matter of only a few days. Plus bsft has sent me some.:thumbs With members like him and some activity here on the forum you will have lots of coins in no time.

Well.... In one day I collected around 40. :p
As the simulator is in the early phase I guess I will have enough time/coins when time to put everything together will arrive.

You will indeed likely build up more than enough coins, and if not you will find community members are more than willing to get you over the line, once a project is underway.

I come to the site regularly, click on "New Posts" and read all of them. So much to learn here that I do not want to miss anything. That and an occasional post are all that is needed to earn coins quickly. Works out great!

No that is not correct @mrbeginner, see te FAQs here for details: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/coins-how-to-get-them-and-how-to-give-them.74/

You can purchase week long access to plugins for 250 coins and grab or update as many plugins as you like during that period. File downloads, like howtos and guides, cost 10 coins per download.

Well, I have 461 coins. Indeed, activity is rewarded :grin
Time to spend some of those has come, in order to start testing using soemthing else than LFS. Is there a way to download all plugins at once instead of having to go through them one by one ? I do not have all games of course, but in case I get others someday.... I'll probably have some more coins by then, but just asking.

You have to download the games one by one @vthinsel, but have a week's worth of access for 250 coins so it is not a big deal.
