I have my joyrider up and running with X-Plane, using JRKs and gear motors, thanks to you all here it's turned out pretty good.

My one major issue is the motor response in roll lags behind the display, that is, when you push the stick to bank, the frame only moves just as the stick reaches full travel. In all pitch control inputs, whether stick, throttle or trim, the response is pretty well instantaneous.

I've messed around with settings in the JRK utility, the joystick calibration, Simtools and X-Plane and nothing makes any difference. In the JRK utility, it responds perfectly, as it does in Simtools, seems to only be X-Plane that has the problem.

Anyone else experienced this, or have any suggestions?

Thanks bsft that did the trick. I was under the impression it would be something in the more basic settings, but you were spot on. :cheers

Hope to post some photos and a video soon.

ex) shaking turbulence or touch down effect or stall effect or anything)

becasue, I planning to 3dof(pitch, roll, heave) for xplane 10.

    Hi hunijjang,

I've got it working in basic form with pitch and roll and it's fantastic. I haven't worked on turbulence and stall effects yet, but if you do a stall, the sim responds as it would in the aeroplane, nose drop, sometimes wing drop and you recover normally.

If I set moderate turbulence in x-plane, I get rocked around and the sim becomes difficult to fly. It's great!

SimTools will simulate movement to the limit of the degrees of freedom it has. And there are real limits. So in a roll anything other than a 360 degree simulator will invert the axis at the half way point. Things like washout can be used to minimise such limitation, taking advantage of peoples flawed perceptions. Here is some reading on what is and is not possible with simulators, as you need to understand the principles to get the best out of a motion profile: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_simulator
