    Whatever he does, where ever he put the seat, the motor is too weak, the lever design completely wrong, too much slack and at least and too much weight.

    hmm here for more details.
    I'm developing a bicycle simulator and I also developed a bicycle game.

    this was the old design of the platform which I didn't follow because the connecting rod will hit the floor. That's why I position the motor horizontally.

    I think @bsft means this:

    Motor can stay on the ground, but the lever needs to connect to higher mount, not directly on the wood platform like on your first sketch.

    Hi! Already done doing your suggested position of motor and lever for my sim. Also trying my 2nd hand wiper motor. Looks great :)
    more smooth and the motor do not have any difficulty in lifting the sim. (after few tests)

    If you decide you need to reduce weight you could think about losing the platform and connecting a pivot directly under the pedal shaft. I see that your welding so you could attach it directly. You could use a bearing in a housing. you would need a bolt going left to right and to arms coming down wiht holes....in the moddie the bolt would go through the bearing and a nut would secure it...on the bottom of the bearing housing you could attach this to a stand...going from front to back of the back and then spanning out to creat supporting legs. Then you could connect the rear wheel bolt to the motor arm you created...just an idea on weight reduction and shrinking it down.
