    Hallo X-Simer,

Daher unsere wichtige Bitte an Euch:

    Englisch translation:

    Dear X-Simer,

due to the movement of the forum to another server, the old pictures will not shown correctly. Sometimes, there is only the link available as [IMG], sometimes the thumbnails for your pictures all the same, although there is the correct full image behind it.

    • So fix it like this:
      - Click on Own posts
      - Look for every post where the image is broken
      - Copy the broken image or thumbnail link and safe the full image to your local disk.
      - Use the Attachment function to upload and to update your image. Do not forget to replace or delete the broken image link.

Doing this on your own for all your posting, is the only guarantee that all old images will be repaired in future as soon as possible. If you want to help us please write a PM to me

    regards, RaceRay

    Hi Rene,

I'm trying to fix my posts and I encountered a limitation of 150kb for the images...

I have several images that are bigger than that. Perhaps changing the image file limit to 500kb?

    Thanks

    Regards, Thanos

    Hi Thanos,

is it a lot work for you to recalculate the images to smaller ones? 500kb is too much for a usual image. Would mean 500MB Space for only 1000 pictures - we only have 17GB left ;-)

Edit: I took a look at your pictures, there are so many...i cannot demand from you to recalculate ALL your pictures, so i will allow 250KB image size. I think that is enough for the most of your pictures - isn´t it?!?

    kind regards, René

B.t.w. looks nice your Thread with including youtube videos

    Hi Rene

Ok, I suppose 250Kb is enouph! Atleast I'll have to convert much less pictures into smaller ones :)

I started to change the attached pictures links and, boy, this is a hard work to download all of them and upload them again...
And as I have uploaded a ton of them, it may take me some time to fix them all

    Regards, Thanos

    Hi Mark,

thank you for the tool, but in this forum, the resizing of the old images has to be done manual, due to the art of processing the intern image functions.

The most important thing is, that actual auto-resizing is working ;-)

    kind regards, René

ATTENTION! Pictures are not restricted in terms of dimensions anymore! Just the filesize is restricted as usual.

However, please compress your high-res pictures before uploading to 80%, or lower, always.
    Our serverspace is very limited!

For example the freeware tool irfan-view allows to choose the compression rate when saving the picture. Of course many other applications allow to set compression rate as well.

    Thanks
    Christian
