Shopping list assistance

Ok, so im starting to look at my shopping list.... 2dof motion sim...

Looking at:
2x Worm Drive Motor 12V/24V 200W, 180 RPM, 20Nm Torque.

2x JRKS

but im unsure of a suitable power supply.... will need two as i don't want to use a car battery.

Im also not sure about what potentiometers would work.

Any assistance would be awesome...

Pots, buy preferable decent 360 deg single turn pots for connecting to the back of the motor shaft.
Power supplies, @noorbeast covered that, use 12v 40 amps per motor supplies.

180Deg Hall effects are what your after if your doing a Seat mover, Where are you located ? Then we can source you some pots from a reputable supplier.

As Noorbeast has Posted that Link will explain the "Hot swap" Server PSU's a lot of us use for the not only the power out put but the price, Comparatively your going to spend 4-5X as much for a Standard "China" PSU as compared to the Server PSU's which can be had on Ebay for next to Nothing, My 600pb's cost me 12.50$ Each, The Dell 2950's were 15$ a pop, So FAR CHEAPER than anything a Standard Psu can supply, Also WAY more power for the $$.

Also FLEX Coupler's are your Friend, Invest in some and you'll be laughing when it comes time to mount the pot to the Axle shaft.

Thanks guys..... just wondering which is better a cv joint or u joint and is there a difference?

Cv joint has 5-10% movement twist in it to cope with different loads being a steering/driveshaft.
Uni joint is better as it doesnt twist and is under different loads.
use a Uni as it doesnt twist.
