I did not find anything here for joystick plugins (like X52 saitek).

Maybe it's a good idea for spacesims (Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen...) to add plugins directly on controlers and not on games.
It's also a good way to play with (or test) your motion-seat.

    Any plans on it ?

    Hi @pOmmi
What does such a plugin do? Does it read the position of the stick?
I personally prefer the data from the game directly ;) and maybe I am overlooking something.

Yes, reading position of the joystick gives us the roll, yaw and pitch.

Of course i agree with you, data from the game is more accurate\realist, but it could be fun to manage our motion seat directly by a controler.

I would like tout have a plugin like that.

Maybe one generic plugin for every kind of controllers... :\

Yes it works for my Saitek X52, thx a lot !

Axis are not well configured, but with some modifications it's ok :
Pitch on the joystick is sway on SimTools
Yaw on the joystick is pitch on SimTools
Roll on joystick is surge on SimTools
Throttle on joystick is heave on Simtools
Zoom on joystick is Roll on Simtools

    Hello pOmmi,
I am just a week away from completion on my platform AC Motor Setup........and have used the X52 Pro for several years - first with FSX and now completely on P3d 2.4.
Please keep me posted or pm'd on this new plugin as you progress with it. I would really like to use it for the X52 Pro - but in the past, was told that using the joystick as an input was TOO slow and
to really forget it........NOW, you have encouraged me.

    Thanks for the thread.

    Tom

Good idea. I'll change the exe file accordingly. So there will be at least some use for the exe :)

    Hi BlazinH and all.........
I was starting to mount my completed TV frame to platform last Saturday and really got sick (BAD, the bottom kind)...........................
Well, needless to say, I have the intestinal flu and have stayed in the bed all week - up enough to go to the throne room.........just terrible.
SO, again, I'm so close to being finished with the whole structure build and was really wanting to get some pics up.

Yobuddy is working on the electronic boards for me as I am a neophyte with "electronics".

Not a pleasant way to spend a week @cthiggin, I do hope the worst is over and you are feeling better now.

I will look forward to the photo updates when you feel up to it.

    noorbeast,
Thanks for you kind remarks...............still feel terrible as it's not over with yet.........
Yes, I want to upload the photos - as I "think" my build looks pretty good, but you folks will be the deciding factor.

    Blessings,
    Tom

I'm really sorry to hear your down with that nasty flu bug Tom. Two of my employees have come down with it too and, unfortunately, its a several day event. All my best my friend and don't push yourself! I just heard today it has contributed to the deaths of over 20 people here in Oklahoma alone so far.
btw. Really looking forward to all seeing all those new pics of your rig when your feeling up to it!!

    Hi all !

Thank you for this plugin :thumbs
The friend of RacingMat it's me :cheers (hmm I guess :blush), so I will test it very soon ! I have the idea to make some motions for a movie (Ruin 3D) with a joystick (and later with gyroptics and accelerometers from a mobile device in order to move my seat watching a GoPro movie I recorded :popcorn).

That's a brilliant idea. With all these sensors nowadays in the mobile phones you should get easily all 6 data of the 3 axis at the same time. :thumbs
