    Ok @insanegr , I studied a little.

    Since I only have two brushes, I'd have just one speed, shouldn't I?
    Do I still need to cut the ground brush inside the motor and weld a new wire, or I am already fine?

    yes you have only one speed.
    if it is connected to the motors body then you have to isolate it and solder a new wire, step 3. 4. and 5.

    Ok, reviewed the wirings and both motors now work in both directions but only on SMC3 Windows Utilities.
    I wasn't able to make it work on SimTools

    I set
    Axis Assignments for DOF 1 and 2
    Interface settings with Output Type SER, my COM, BPS 500000, Data Bits 8, Parity None, Stop Bits 1, But Range 10, Binary, Int.Output [A<Axis 1>][B<Axis 2>], 10ms
    but in Output Testing nothing happens

    I noticed that since I got Game Engine opened I shouldn't be able to open SMC3 Windows Utilities ('cause the port should be already in use), but I do. SMC3 opens and works too, I'm able to control the motors, as if the Game Engine wasn't communicating at all; and that's weird 'cause the Game Manager states it's 'Connected'

    I don't know if I should post this in another thread, like in @RufusDufus ' tutorial or somewhere else.

    Yes I patched it, but the problem is way before playing a game, I can't make SimTools working even in its own 'Output Testing' mode

    As long as simtools is not in game mode you can still use the SCM3 util. The port is not taken up by simtools unless you are testing the axis or like I say in game mode.

    Are you testing the DOF with the default profile as it only works this way (a mistake I made) if you are not then swap to test using axis and see if it moves the motors that way.

    yes, please check that the default axis assignments is filed out.
    Also I believe I changed it, so on the axis assignments page, whatever profile is showing is the one used for output testing...
    So if it says default, then it is the one used for the output testing and so on...

    Yes, I was using the default profile, I only had that one. The problem was I was using Pitch and Roll, and with a car simulator you would want Surge and Sway, also I had PWMmax @100, and Main Level to 60%... a bit too low to make it move

    Hey guys I'm proud to announce you all that I made my first ride on my own 2DOF Race Desk (with a Ferrari 458GT2 on the Nordschleife, of course) :cheers

    I wanna thank all of you for the help, tips, suggestions, FAQ, Tutorials, and everything that I found in this forum that made that happen.
    It's just the beginning, now I'm gonna fix settings, the rim and make it a better experience, but still a huge step for me, who just a month ago didn't know a thing about all of this stuff.
    Also, it's even more satisfying having taken the hard way, the Arduino - MotoMonster one, now I'm gonna dig some code for Arduino.
    JRKS are anyway still an option and I'm confident, should I ever sell this one, I'm gonna take that way too.

    @Blame73 nice to see what you have succeeded. SMC3 is a very powerful code and you can optimise it and IMO you do not need any jrks.

    Ok, a little video taken with my brother driving at Spa, 5 minutes after I finished building the rig, I hadn't even already fixed the seatback. :D
    Some stuff has been fixed since then, it's just a proof I made it :)

    Yeah, Arghhhh is the same thing I thought when I saw the video, but at the moment my brother was driving I wasn't thinking about making a video, then I saw the phone, grabbed it and started recording... noob error I have to admit. :rolleyes:

    OK it works so far :)

    First, the moves are yet damped. For better immersion you have to tune up your values within SMC3 and SimTools (and therefore we are here to help you). So it would be helpful you will post screen shots of all of your settings.
    At the end of the video (I am not sure if I have seen it correctly) the right motor stops working?

    @Pit You're right, being the first ride all parameters where way in the safe zone (Main level 75% I think, and I left some play in the rod between motor and chair).
    It wasn't the motor the stopped working, but the rod that wasn't fixed to the motor, just screwed. I drilled holes and mechanically mixed it.

    I'll post screen shots of my settings cause your help is really appreciated.

    Just one - maybe stupid - question: the two rods from the motors aren't perfectly aligned. It seems I'm no more able to do it (align them)!
    If I move the wrong one by hand it goes back to its previous point as soon as I give power back. Rod and motor are mechanically fixed, I can just work on the pots.
    How can I set the 'zero' point?
