Yes @Lucian , if you are moving the seat, and it is balanced, then you are done.

Just yank UP on that Big white gear, the whole gear and bearing's should pop out from the case, then just flip the gear. If its a little tight, Hold the gear box upside down and give the other side a tap with a screw driver or something. It should't be All that tight in there.

[IMG]I would recommend locating a bearing separator (see above), since the plastic gear is already damaged this is your best bet to get the bearing off without damage
or use a jaw type puller (see below)... this style is more likely to cause damage to the bearing but should get it off of the shaft

Good idea but Total overkill dave, No need for a puller. The bearing's are just a press fit and are easily removed.

    PS what damaged gear ?

PPS where in MN are ya. I do a bit of RC racing down in Foley/Staples in the summers.

Ya they aren't very tight. And he also doesn't need to remove the bearing's at all, Just flip the gear. Bearing's And all.

you can extend the cables if you want with at least the same awg.
my opinion is having shorter cables as you can

Yes, I think I extended mine about double the length and I used a slightly smaller gauge cable to it would fit in the terminals of the control board.
It will not affect the overall power.

Ideally you want 14Awg wire, Its what the JRK connector is listed for, Or if you want to use something that maybe isn't listed in Awg sizes. anything from 1.3mm to 1.6mm in diameter.

How stiff are those brackets Lucian ? If you push Sideways on them, Do they move ? As in push from the Pot side and the lever side.

I would recommend at a minimum doubling them up and using nuts and bolts with a backing plate if "L" brackets are all you got

We can also Lower the motor's which will take off some leverage on the Brackets.

IMHO, I would look at the shafts (w/heims) from motors to back of seat - under "load", there may be some undesirable flex...

    Nice project.
