Nice find @Bluestoneracing just a little too late for me...I hunted high and low for a double flange u joint and could not find one so ended up cutting down a tail shaft instead.

Thanks @Bluestoneracing, really good find. Shame I didn't see this earlier, just bought a mucky old landrover UJ a few hours ago - this would've been better!

Thanks @Bluestoneracing. I picked up a couple of them. I live in the US, and eBay didn't say he did international shipping. After contacting him, we got everything worked out and they will be here this week. He seems like a very nice guy. My welding skills are, well, Zero, so this was a god send!!!

I bought three of them two years ago they are extremely firm and rigget, no side movement anymore.

I've got 1 in use and had the the other two for future projects, but it didn't come to it.
So I'm willing to sell two of them.
At that time 1 British pound was almost twice as worthy than a Euro.

The selling price is € 50,- each without postal cost

Below are the paypal payments I made:

That is what I use, has been working well for a few years now...

I do have a Land Rover Lower Steering Shaft universal joint (AU$25 off ebay) sitting waiting if the other one breaks, it is much stronger but so far haven't needed it:

Hi guys, I've been looking at sourcing parts for my first rig. This thread helped massively with what was needed to support and pivot my platform so thanks everyone for that!

I've managed to find a company in the UK that can supply double flanged universal joints and I've been speaking with their sales rep to establish a decent product for this use. Can anyone tell me if the product spec in the image is going to be suitable or if I need more info? I'm thinking the four hole version offered is going to be best as I'm planning to bolt it to some channelled strut like in the photo earlier up this thread.

That should be fine as long as the bolt spacing suits the channel you plan to use.
