    Hi all,

I have been searching an alternative to substitute the IRLZ44N and I found some.

    IRL1104 http://www.irf.com/product-info/datashe ... rl1104.pdf
    IRL3713 http://www.irf.com/product-info/datashe ... rl3713.pdf

Thanos, do you think that these guys will heat less than the IRLZ44N ?

I wanna do a test, with one of them, I think I will do with the IRL1104 cuz it's cheaper, but if it fry as IRLZ does I will do a air conditioning with a peltier module. If you don't know what I'm talking about, google it !!

What do you think guys !

I'm tired of changing burned mosfets !

    Hi All!
Do anyone have a final tested list for fets?
I have IRFL44N and IRF4905L and still no luck

    Has anyone change the IRF4905L?
or the IRFL44N for anything else and tested?

    Thanks in advanced!

    Hello all,
I got my H-bridge (Tronic `s DIY dual MOSFET H-bridge) built.

Now I have always the problem that my mosfets overheat  :thbd:

Why is that everything is soldered properly! 3x checked!

    P-channel MOSFET IRF 4905
    N-channel MOSFET 44 IRFZ

All are constructed as in the plan, it all works just the mosfets too hot

Please write me back if you have a solution / assistance

    best regards
    Christian

This is dead in the water mate , originator doesn't use it anymore or support it, most peoples unit never ran past 12v 15amps before mosfets blew up.

One thing that helped me a lot with this burning mosfets issue is that you have to be able to test them. Remember that one bad apple spoil the whole bunch ;D
simple and efficient way for testing mosfets spanish version:

Other VERY important thing to have in mind is that ALWAYS test your h-bridge carefully until it is working fine for sure.
You have to be sure that the potenciometer is in middle position (meaning the motor would stay stopped and almost no current will flow) and then slowly turn it a little back and forth checking the mosfets temperature.
With NO LOAD to the wiper motor, you have to be able to touch mosfets without burning your fingers even without a fan blowing air into it.
If anything else happens you should check again all mosfets for that motor (Thanos h-bridge has two groups of four mosfets for each motor) and also check for shorts and open circuits.

As Rob says, this is a history board now, there are better options out there, but thanks for the info though.

Hello tronicgr ! I built two bridges with the circuit which shall be attached , but only after I realized I had no way to enter the PWM signal. Please answer me some questions if possible :
    - Can I use the logic circuit that you did on your bridge and turn on my bridge ?
    - Ard What code do you use to control the simtools ?
    - What is the supply voltage of the logic circiuto ?
    - I read in a post Prylad the need for galvanic isolation ? Is this necessary?
    Grateful.
If you can not use them I will build like yours ..
PS : sorry for the english ... use translator !
