Removing ILK wiring -SCN5

    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF, SCN5
    Can you remove the wiring from ILK pin and take out the emergency stop button. If so does that mean you only have power to the SCN5 (+) and (-) from power supply and nothing else in the loop.
    I understand the saftey aspect, I'm just curious I want to try various options.
    If I do remove the ILK wiring will I have to get software to change SCN5 settings on it?
