k8055 new poti problem

    Hello guys! I have a problem with my new potentiometer ... i have 50% in the wrong position (see the attached file). the cables are ok. i have only changing Potentiometers 10k fine.any work but not ideas? Thanks a lot! Denis

    Test them with multimeter, if you get a difference between 2 identical ones, the other one is broken, or even both of them are. ( resistance should change smoothly).
    Normally you get that problem with very badly made pot. :thbd:
    I would change them to new ones.

    May be, see your pot in the VM110 , Do not forget to remove the jumpers SK2 and SK3 before trying the controls (3 and 4 in the diagram). Then, turn the two resistors RV1/RV2 in the direction to obtain maximum gain.

    Gussing you dont have linear pots - do they say lin (linear) or log (logarithmic) on them?

    Logarithmic pots would give you exactly this effect...

    lots of 100mm slider pots dont use linear tapers as they are often used in audio equipment
    (human perception of audio volume is logarithmic)
