I see references in the forum to a bass shaker plugin but I cannot find this in documentation or X-Sim. In X-Sim I feel like I extensively looked through Force Profiler.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks!

Force Profiler-->Interface Settings-->Interface Plugins List on Far RIght of Scfreen-->Double Click The Bass Shaker Plugin

The Bass Shaker plugin provides interfaces that can be used in your profiles.

    Thanks for the quick response...

On the far right there is a section called All found interface plugins. In that list (which contains 12 items on my computer) there is no The Bass Shaker Plugin or anything with Bass Shaker. I can provide a screen shot (the list starts with 10 Bit USB). I am running 2.1.x (from Help|About).

Is there a dependency I am missing? I see references in Wiki to Bassshaker.dll which I do not have (nothing that starts with Bass. I also see references to requiring a seperate soundcard (however, at the time I am running Force Profiler) the simulator is not running.

I think in one of the X-Sim versions, it was also called the Midi Shaker? Do you have that option?

I cannot comment on the version that you are using. I use the version on the left of this page http://x-sim.de/ because it is more stable, does not require an internet connection, uses less memory & disk space and downloads faster.

    hallo,
Sie müssen eine neuere Version von x -sim
oder machen Sie das Plugin -Schnittstelle in den Plugin-Ordner in x -sim

Thanks to both of you for replying. For now I just copied in the bassshaker.dll and that worked. However, I will give the non-networked version a try.

    Hy
I have a ButtKicker LFE, and i test the Bass shaker plugin.
    I play with DIRT 2
    I have some problems...
I take the XsimProfileNima but the result is not correct.

the XsimProfileNima is compatible for DIRT 2?

I try to understand how make a profile, but i need help.

For exemple , for 26 effect, how make a good feeling?

    With the test tablet i see 0 = 20hz 100% = 220Hz
    and for negative is the same: 0= 20Hz and -100% = 220Hz

but i dont understang how to make a good feeling with effect value.
    Thanks

hello use speed effect or rpm effect . the bass shaker will vibrate according the speed or rpm (either one, your choise , experiment!) . you have to set bass volume and bass frequency. you have to create axis (same protocole as actuators in the math section of your game profile)

you need to my knowlege 2 sound cards also (can be external, preferably on 2 pcs. but in my case it works in one PC with onboard card (for regular sound) and a PCIE card bor the bassshaker)

    Ok, I understood the connection.
I do not understand how to match the small effects, large shock vibrations with small and large vibration.

    example:
small vibrations of the defects of the track with the vibrations of 150 Hz

    and
a big shock when the car falls on a jump frequency 20 Hz.

in XSIM, the big shock effects values are high, for example: 1 000 000
and the frequency corresponding to the bass shaker is of low frequency: 250Hz.

should be able to get in front of the big effects of low frequencies.
and set the average effects of midrange.
    How?
    Thanks

With the test tablet i can see this configuration

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I need to put low frequency in big bump and hight freqency in little vibration , little bump.
with the original configuration i don't find a solution in the profile.
I think this configuration is better for best feeling:

Is there possible to change the pluging? or can someone give me a solution ?
    thanks

    Hi,
I did a lot of tests, but I can not make a profile with low frequency in the high values.
Is there a way in Math setup to reverse the values for high frequencies or bottom of the curve and the low frequencies at the top of the curve.
That way, the big shock will be transcribed with low frequency, high.( ex 20Hz)
and small vibrations with small vibration in high frequency (ex 220Hz)

who wrote the plugin bass shaker?
I would ask him if it is possible to reverse the fréquenses for me to do tests.
    thanks

it might be possible to use other effects than speed or rpm . in my case i use rpm and i am satisfied. it ,ight be worth to try other effects but i dont lnow how. when the plugin is activated and axes are created 2 output are created bass frequency and bass volume . i associated with them rpm. try other effects then . might work

it's a shame that we can not reverse the frequencies.
Small effect = small vibrations to 220Hz
large vibrations, low frequency = big shock

I would have needed to know if this is possible, with an expert in the forum

nobody wants to discuss on the subject and share ideas and share experience to improve this pluging
    and improve the concept??
This is unfortunate, it can really bring a lot of on this vibration system.

I would like to speak with the person who made this plugin.
I thinks were much better can this plugin and get a system like Dbox outperform in vibration if they are well managed

the current operation seems to me not at all correct
I'd like to share my trials with this plugin.
    thank you

    Hello everybody,
For a schoolproject my students are going to build a racesimulator that strongly resembles this one:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOzyqhhKTrY
(This is the second racesimulator so I have experience building one and driving it with Xsim)

One of the student will have to install a tactile transducer (or Bass shaker), the Clark Synthesis Silver Tactile Transducer. He will test it using a filter that filters the low frequencies from the audio to drive the transducer.

But I would also want him to test the bass shaker using the baseshaker.dll-file in Xsim. So this forum is right on the topic. Unfortunately I can't understand what this dll-file should do? A bass shaker is a simple speaker driven by an amplifier. But ofcourse an amplifier doesn't have need a dll-driver. So what devices would use this dll-driver?

Is this device a special soundcard that xsim can control directly so that Xsim can make it generate the correct frequencies depending on an effect in the game such as RPM? I would like to join the search but for the moment the only way to drive the bass shaker is using an active low-pass filter on the audio (which will also work).

Thanks in advance for a reply,
    Bart
