    hi there
i m jeanmi from reunion island, i have a new project but a problem to resolve too.

i have to command two wipers motors (direction) the signal comes from a hacked servo, it is +5v and ground
it have a feedback (pot) for position

i need a board between this signal and the motors, only one signal for two motors, they have to do the same thing

as you can see it s a simple board like dual H bridge with high Amps output, and capable to use my signal

i hope you ll help me
    bye
    jeanmi

Buy some of these http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1393 one per motor, easy uso commands, 7 wires and one usb cable per board, put a heatsink on the big chip with a fan, and by the way, they will run up to 40 amps peak and 30 amps continuous, not recommended though, but they will run HARD.

As far as I know they do not get any simpler.
One usb cable per board, 2 wires - power in ,2 wires - power to motors, 3 wires to a potentiometer for feedback per motor, NO CODE TO WRITE.
Simple USO commands. If you can find simpler, please let us know.

    thanx for your reply

after hours of searching the web, i ve found this: http://cgi.ebay.fr/0-36V-Rated-15A-Peak ... 924wt_1272

i don t know if it can do the job, but if the specs are reals, a good cooling fan and it s done.

You still need a control board, either and arduino or tronic card.

    hi there
drive wheel is hacked, i put a 100K pot into it (the same as the one in the servo tester)
double h-bridge board is on the way (still waiting..)
    wiper motors are here

the problem now is to find THE power supply !

in fact, i would like to use only one doubleh-bridge board it can load up to 36V 60A in peak and the two motors with only one command

as the signal comes from the pot servo controller, it s only left right (it ll be up down on the seat of course)
noob question is : is it possible to use two powersupplies mounted in // to load the maximum amp output or do i need another h-bridge board? one for each motor?

    thanx for the reply
    jeanmi

ho! i forgot to mention i m working on a SAN FRANCISCO RUSH ARCADE CABINET

I have looked at the specs of the board, but I cannot see exactly that is controls 2 motors separately.
Perhaps someone else can make sense of this.
If its 2 motors and one command, I am guessing that you need two boards to get 2 commands.
By the way, San Fran Rush is a cool game. I may have to look at it with a cheat engine to find data for x-sim, although that could take a while.

If they are 12 volt motors, use a car battery to test and get set up. You would have to measure the current they are using for each motor and from that , find a power supply.
A switchmode power supply will do. You could use a 20 amp 13.8v power supply in parallel with the battery. Thats a simple setup. I use it as do a few others as well.
