    Hello,
    unfortunately the Thanos Firmware
    PWM_AMC15_2DOF_V1_CRYSTAL18.HEX
won't run on my card. Card checked ok, no soldering defects,
tested also a second new microprocessor ATmel8535PU , same behavior.
Fuses programmed, checked, firmware downloaded and verified
but no change on the LCD display Displaytech 162A,
    the upper characters remain dark.
Oscillator runs 16MHz ( tested with oscilloscope ), 22pF cap ok, tried also other Xtals
22.1184, 24MHz and relevant firmware, oscillator runs ok,
but no reaction to any output of display or servo, looks like locked.
Any mistake: wrong firmware version? doesn't match 8535 PU ? LCD 162A doesn't fit?
Any trick with fuses to select the clock source ?
Any pin ot the CPU to test to see activity ?
Or simply not enough luck ?
Thanks in advance to who will help me.

Best wishes for this new year !
    Regards

    Thank You Senetor,
I was suspecting too about that, anyway HD44780 set the standard,
and I was thinking that the signals were compatible.
it seems that some different timing are crucial for this.
Anyway I will purchase a new LCD unit,
hoping the matter is not elsewhere.
Indeed I wonder if the CPU had some other status to show any activity
beside the LCD ( i.e. a ripple on the Analog Out).

    Kind regards
    Robert
