    Hi Guys,

Same problem here... Steam version. I now will test the boxed version, and will not update it. too bad, in the latest patch they fixed some major bugs, such as the controller save setup.

If anyone has a solution, please share ;-)

It`s not because of Steam - this patch cause the trouble. I`ve checked boxed version with update (1.2) and still have the same problem. :thbd:

    The problem is extradata=1
    dbox use extradata=0

I'm an frex system user converted to a xsim.
-With xsim (extradata=1) and the 1.2 patched version of dirt 3 the game freeze at finish line.
    (solution-->downgrade to 1.1 patched version)
-With simconbase and simconmotion (extradata=0)and dirt 3 1.2 patched, the game DON'T freez at finish line.

I prefer xsim system so I would like a 1.3 patch soon...

Are there any profile to using with extradata = 0?

We need extradata=1 to get this game running with X-Sim Profiler.
This one is different then Grid and Dirt 2. Game doesn`t stop when value is set to 0 but it also doesn`t work with Simulator.

Ok so I've changed from steam to a boxed version without updating, now it works great again, apart from the controller mapping bug and the frame drop in gymkhana.... :)

Yeah, i will never go back, triple pj are the best for inmersion ;-) BTW: quad-sli means 2xGTX295 dual pcb ;-)

Anyway i really hope the solve this issue with another patch...also really hope this bug is not in F1 2011 that's comming in a few weeks time.

The GTX 295 is a good dual gpu card and having two of those in SLI is even better. I only have 2 x GXT 560ti SLI. They should do the job though.
Anyway, lets hope the problem gets sorted. We are a minority group with motion sims and codemasters would probably put our issue on the bottom of the to be fixedlist.
    Back to racing!

It use to be port=20777. Did you change it ? Because if - then it might be that. For me it didn`t work with extradata set as 0.

Dirt 3 runs great with x-sim release version 2070, there are different versions of x-sim. I haven't tried any other version like 2071 or newer. The game, hardware, motion settings are the same as Dirt 2 to get motion. I have not had any problems running Dirt 3 from day 1 or with any updates. So maybe someone can figure it out from there.
