    Hi guys.
First of i would like to thank everyone that contributes to this forum, as it is an invaluable resource to anyone that is looking to build there own simulator.
i have been spending quite a few hours ( ..er days) checking out a few threads, in regards to options in development boards. doing a few goggle searches on the Arduino, i came across a .net development board called the netduino.

    inshort..

    digital i/o features
    ● all 20 digital and analog pins: GPIO
    ● digital pins 0-1: UART 1 RX, TX
    ● digital pins 2-3: UART 2 RX, TX
    ● digital pins 5-6: PWM, PWM
    ● digital pins 7-8: UART 2 RTS, CTS
    ● digital pins 9-10: PWM, PWM
    ● digital pins 11-13: SPI MOSI, MISO, SPCK
    ● analog pins 4-5: I2C SDA, SCL

    processor and memory
    ● Atmel 32-bit microcontroller
    ● Speed: 48MHz, ARM7
    ● Code Storage: 128 KB
    ● RAM: 60 KB

do you think it will be possible to use this as part of the electronics base to build a simulator running x-sim?

    thanks in advance guys..

    Re: NetDuino and x-sim

The microcontroller can handle it, no problems at all. If you can program it, it will do it. :)

    Thanks Frakk..
i have decided to go for the Fez Panda and a Ciseco PWM mosfet shield (2 channel upto 55v and 52A). the shield is for the adruino, but the Fez is pin compatible. i thought is was perfect to drive 2 wiper motors, and only £22!

Nice boards. It is funny how easy you kids have it with stuff like this. Back in the day.... :D

Those Ciseco boards will control a DC motor only in one direction. Not so useful for a servo system.
