    Hello Geniuses!!,

I’m building a full-frame 3DOF motion racing rig. Starting with F1-style driving (ACC initially), but I’d like the platform to be versatile enough to expand into other sims later (possibly flight or marine).

I’m planning a 3-post heave setup ( See pictures Below) in a triangle configuration and wanted to ask the motor placement preference:

    Option A:
    • 2 motors up front (left/right near pedals)
    • 1 motor centered behind the seat

    Option B:
    • 2 motors in the rear corners behind the seat
    • 1 motor centered up front under the pedals

    From your experience:
    • Which layout feels more realistic for racing?
    • Which is more stable under braking and cornering loads?
    • Which is easier to tune and set up properly?
    • Any center-of-gravity or structural considerations I should prioritize?
Trying to make the smartest long-term design choice before finalizing the chassis layout. Appreciate any insight from those who’ve built both ways.

    Thanks!
