    Hi!
We are building a really nice 6DOF platform with a 2pcs Syntron MDBOX.
The actuator is 1000mm stroke length.

What is the best method to control the Syntron MDBOX?

    Victor

The question is not what is the best method but how to interface it with Simtools.

You will need one of my AMC controllers for that. Send me message for details.

    Thanks
    Thanos

Please see here re @Thanos advice that unfortunately the Syntron MDBOX ethernet interface protocol is unknown, instead recommending replacement with the
AASD-15A servos with the AMC-AASD15A motion controller: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/how-to-interface-an-sc-mbox-v3.17113/#post-228753

You can check that alternative out in the FAQs:

    Hi,
I bought an Alibaba LeaderDream 6DOF with UDP communication with a STABLECU JS-9D.
I used the same documentation as you showed to use SimTools V3 with the DBox interface (from @yobuddy)
My settings for the MBOX interface are: Mbox type [6 Axis], Max Axis Value [400000] (for safety), Ip address [192.168.15.201], Port [7408], Output Rate [2]ms, and Axis4a-Axis3a-Axis2a-Axis1a,Axis6a,Axis5a.
I can use several games like MSFS2020, XPlane12, and all car racing games.
I hope this will help you if you haven't figured it out yourself yet.

    Hi,
I am a bit confused because you mentioned wifi and the ethernet cable in one sentence while they are different animals.
I don't know your knowledge of internet and LAN and I am sorry if this sounds like a lesson but if you can't ping to the Mbox, that should be your focus.
You did not mention what the internet address is of the LAN card in the pc that will be controlling the Mbox.
But because you mentioned that you pinged addresses with different subnets, I suggest that you check the ip address of that LAN card in the controlling pc.
This address should have the same subnet as your Mbox

In my case, the Mbox and pc are in the bottom part of the Motion Platform and are connected to each other
through a single LAN cable so there are only 2 nodes (no router or network switch is connected to that LAN). The address of my Mbox has 192.168.15.201 and the LAN card in the pc is 192.168.15.101. From the pc I can ping to the Mbox (192.168.15.201)
My Motion Platform came as a (more or less) complete turnkey set .

Assuming that the manufacturer of the Mbox has all Mboxes default set to 192.168.15.201 and yours have not been changed, you should have your pc LAN adaptor set to 192.168.15.101 (or anything but 201 (or 1 or 255)) with subnet-mask 255.255.255.0 manually because there is no DHCP in that LAN section.
Than you should be able to ping 192.168.15.201.
After that you can start setting up the SimTools V3 using the Dbox interface from @yobuddy
I hope this helps you solve your problems a bit.
