Hello All, And thanks in Advance… I think it’s time to upgrade my Rig or build a new one.. First ideas was to start fresh and Make a whole new 3DOF so I can keep racing during the build… But I also know that my first tries are never my last try…

Soo, I think I want to build a platform to just turn my current rig into a 1DOF for traction loss.. this will keep me amused and busy while I build my 3DOF 0ver time.. also worried the 3DO F will shake too much for my upstairs apartment living. I am hoping the traction loss won’t be as bad…. lol

I have been collecting parts for some time and believe I have enough to start..

I will be downloading SIM tools and SIM Calculator. I just recently lost my laptop, so have been hesitant to put it on the simulator.. but my first question is.. does anyone think this bed mattress actuator would be better for traction loss the the wheelchair motors..

    Actuator is 24v
    Load Capacity 6000n
    Stroke 120mm

    Wheelchair motors are the 24v
    250w
    120r/min
They were all that were available to me when I ordered, but in hindsight, I should’ve just waited to find 75rpm because it was a while ago… I was having trouble finding good CAD files for the arms for the size motor.. Anyone know the center to center distance I should use for an arm? I think I read these motors will work. I just have to shorten the arm?!

pictures attached I tried to insert them, but it won’t let me..

Thanks for any advice and I will start a real Bill thread once I finally start..

‘Thanks for the link! Yeah I kinda figured they wouldn’t work.. I was crossing my fingers for a free Better option than the 120 r/pm Wheelchair motors… But All good… Will research a bit more and use the 250 watt, 24v 120rpm wheelchair motors..
