    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF
Hello everyone from the XSimulator forum!
I'm a first-time builder from Pakistan and I'm really excited to start my 2DOF project, but it's been difficult to get parts here. After a lot of searching, I've finally managed to collect most of my components and I'd love your advice.
    Here is my parts list:
    Motors: 2x MY1016Z2 (24V 250W) geared motors
    Drivers: 2x IBT-2 (BTS7960) H-Bridges
    PSU: 1x 24V 28A Power Supply
    Controller: 1x Arduino Uno R3
Rods: 2x 250mm M8 threaded rods with M8 heim joints
    Pots: 2x B10K single-turn potentiometers
(I will get the chair, u joint and other extras soon)
My main question is, is this a good combination of parts to build a successful and strong 2DOF seat mover?
I'm also not sure what kind of chair to get. Should I look for a lightweight fiberglass bucket seat from a local car parts shop, or is it better to find a used office chair and strip it down to save weight? Or can i use a normal car chair(cheapest option for me)

Finally, I'm trying to figure out the best way to connect my B10K potentiometer to the motor shaft for the feedback. I've seen people use belts, gears, or direct linkages. What's the most reliable and simple method for a beginner with my MY1016Z2 motors?
Thank you so much for any help or advice you can offer!

My advice would be a direct linkage as there is no backlash but gears are fairly decent I used some Lego cogs on mine and work great
Personally wouldn't go with a belt because of possible slippage

So I drilled a hole in the backplate of the gearbox
And put a Lego shaft through with a mini cog at the end then geared it to be 180 at the output and used a bit of rubber pipe to connect to the pot the output shaft
