    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF
Hey guys, this is my first project so please excuse my knowledge. I've been researching for a very long time about starting my own DIY 2DOF Seat Only Mover. I'm following the usual script to keep it simple and light weight except for me (225lbs) and the seat(~25lbs) but while looking for motors I came across these Dump Truck Tarp Pullers ($375/PAIR) which seem to be way more powerful than the usual setups just in case I decide to add on bigger rig later. They are rated each for 1.2HP 900w 22Amp at 24VDC 90:1 gear at 50rpm (57NM). Combining 2 motors will reach 1800w and calculated 75-95Amps (1.25x+1x=peak amp) however I believe the power wattage is overstated for marketing because the calculations for 22amp load at 24VDC is closer to 500w rating. If that's the real specs then the peak power is ~1000w and ~55amp peak. Thanks for staying with me so far. My question is would a 1500w PSU Convertor rated for 62.5A be sufficient? Or is that pushing the limits too close. Because these motors are much more expensive than my first choice which is the jazzy chair or crabpot motors($~100) so is it worth the extra cost? Thanks for any feedback! Links and photos below.

These are maybe the same motor: https://www.ebay.com/itm/354052076387

loads of people on this forum use these. They are way overkill for a set motor but cheaper than what you found.
