    Welcome @sergioacunia.

Doing some research before getting in too deep is time well spent.

Bounce your plans and shopping list off members before jumping too far down what can be an expensive rabbit hole, if you get it wrong.

Use the Search on the Recent page to find similar projects as to what you have in mind.

You will also find plenty of helpful information in the FAQs, including code and instructions for using Arduino with a range of controllers: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here and detail your project, so members can give support and advice where possible: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Good luck with your project.

Thanks noorbeast I was investigating the issue of making a simulator and the only doubt that I have is that engines, here in Argentina many are not achieved but I have to make myself bring by tendamia, the problem is that a while ago I supply with some of the windshield wiper and they broke easily I think now to use about 24V 250W 75 rpm, I have to play between that they are not very slow and that they are not very slow.

Please repost this on your own build thread via this link, so members can respond and provide advice, as the Welcome thread is not the place for those discussions: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Dear Forum! I've just registered, thank you for the opportunity. I am currently building a 6DOF simulator kit that I bought from Motion4Sim for using it mainly for flight simulators. Maybe this project is not a top to bottom DIY as the other's here, but I can't afford more at the moment (we live in a flat) and also I lack the proper knowledge, tools and machinery. As I ran through some of the posts, I would like to thank you in advance for all the enthusiastic DIYers and contributors. This site is a huge source of very useful informations!

    Hi everyone!

I’m new to the community and excited to dive into motion‑sim projects. My background is mainly DIY tinkering, Computer programming, —3 D printing and a bit of Arduino—and I’m now keen to step up into full‑blown motion simulation. My main focus is spherical rigs (Yaw‑style, omni‑wheel platforms), so I’m here to learn from those who’ve already walked that path, share my progress as I go, and hopefully contribute back to the group.

If anyone has tips, build logs, or firmware pointers specific to spherical platforms, I’m all ears.
Also, I’d really appreciate a current invite link to the open‑motion‑sim Discord, especially the #spherical‑rigs channel, so I can follow ongoing discussions and resources there.

Looking forward to meeting you all and swapping ideas!

    Cheers!

Hello to all, I am from Colorado and am interested mostly in flight, space sims through VR (ordered BSB2)

I registered much like @bestenator because I am drafting a DIY "human hamster ball" and this seemed like a great resource for a review of failed/successful attempts and a knowledge base for what experienced simmers would include/exclude

    Welcome @KevinIsMyName.

Please start your own thread when you are ready, as a place to outline ideas and seek advice from members.

Doing some research before getting in too deep is time well spent. Hamster style rigs are not common, and in my view for some sound reasons regarding the compromises required.

    Hi..
this is perhaps the first time I am trying to start a new thread for my simulator project which i have just started but the system does not allow me. I have taken a screen shot.... please help me....it has really taken quite a lot of time for me to write down a paragraph or two to express my excitement, my emotions, my feeling of nostalgia (from the beginning... how it all started) and my obsession.. but WHOA... when I try to post, the system disallows me by saying, it seems like spam and contains objectionable content... please help

MotionPulse that's what i call my beast (yet to be built, of course)... I am sure, with all of you wonderful people on x-simulator, I will succeed someday...

    cheers

    shankar
