Many thanks! Had the same issue. Gamevibe crashed when hitting test. Your workarround fixed it.

I have been using the DCS Plugin found here https://simtools.us/plugin/?varname=343 and it works fine.
Today after flying I saw an update saying "New Plugin" so I clicked and it was DCS. I downloaded and installed https://simtools.us/plugin/?varname=1838. I now have two DCS plugins. The descriptions show different versions updated over time on the first one and the new one was uploaded today at 1512 hours EST. What is the difference, which should I use?

Anyway to have a profile per aircraft in dcs, I see it's a feature but not for every game, how do I get it for dcs, so many aircrafts and settings don't all carry over perfectly.

The first DCS plugin you give a link to is the community version. The second one is a custom plugin for DCS from a different repo. If the repo is for your simulator, then its a possibility that it also came pre-setup for your simulator. If the repo is not specificity for your sim, then I would keep the first one and remove the second.

Unfortunately DCS does not report the vehicle that is in use by the user, so auto profiling is not available for this title.
    Take care :thumbs

Ahh very well, the repo is for my sim rig, I am now using this version.

Sad to see dcs does not report this for individual vehicles. I find that to be bad news as different aircrafts behave completely different. I am flying mainly helicopters but they all differ and fixed wings are way different from what I can type with the feedback. Thank you.

So I do not know what happened today when I started simtools. All my settings were adjusted, not how I had them. Settings even appearing off but activated. For example, my washout wasn't turned on as it appeared, yet my rig was recentering as if washout was on. My profiles were wrong, showing random settings and now I can't get anything to dial back in how I had it. I spent so much time getting everything right. I pretty much have the settings memorized at this point but it's all wrong. This happened right after I tested smoothing and deadzone to max. After closing the app last night and all felt amazing after so much tuning, booted it up today and everything went weird on me. Feels as if I need to reinstall simtools. Rebooted the rig a few times and everything seems to be working as usual. Any thoughts?

EDIT - Adding to this: I have tried a full pc restart, a reset of all the features, reinstalled simtools, all settings are the same, just acting as if smoothing and deadzone and washout are on when they are not, the filters are blank. I tried clicking each X as if to erase the settings in the filters. Maybe I will try uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling it, if not then an uninstall of simtools and a reinstall.

EDIT - Welp reinstalling the plugin did nothing... BUT a full uninstall and reinstall fixed the issue. Clean slate, settings are acting as usual.

    Hello everyone.

I upgraded from Simtools v2 to v3. I use Generic 3D Rotating plugin. I managed to set everything up and it works perfectly, except traction loss. In v2 I didn't use Yaw, I used traction loss instead. In v3 I don't know how to set it up. I looked through this topic and the FAQ, but I couldn't find a solution. I'm attaching a picture of my current settings. Please help me set up traction loss. Thank you

    @Aljas Chief,
In your pic above, you have Axis3a set to yaw. Simply change your Yaw setting to Traction Loss, and you should be good to go. :thumbs

Hello everyone, i'm trying to run DCS with simtool V3 but simtool seems to not recieving telemetry from dcs.

I'm trying to get my seat mover njmotion compact R to work with simtool on DCS but nothing works, in games it doesn't work.

However, when I do the test manually in simtool in the dcs v10 plugin the seat reacts. I can't find any information on the net.

Has anyone already managed to get simtool to work with DCS world?

Thank you and sorry for my english :)

Here are my settings. It's the v10 plugin. When i click on test settings and move the axis, the seat move. But when i'm in game the motion input stay to 0, like if simtool wasn't recieving the dcs telemetry

Thanks for your answer. I just had time to try the setting. It works, but not properly. I set Traction Loss on Axis3a. It moves, but the movement is Yaw, not the traction loss movement. The whole thing moves left and right around its center axis, but only the back should.
When I test the movement, the traction loss works with the slider, but the movement is still Yaw.
I looked through the manual again, I think everything is set up correctly and works fine, except for the traction loss.

The yaw DOF is a basic compass heading. Where yaw rate, is the change in yaw. And traction loss is the difference in the direction traveling vs the direction the vehicle is pointing. While they are all going to drive yaw on the sim (as that is what you have the DOF tied too), how they do it is very different.
If you wanted to just wiggle the rear end of the sim with traction loss, you would need to setup the sim with a 2D math plugin to get more control of each individual motor. (but its a lot harder to configure, so I don't recommend it.)

Thanks for the information. Of course I tried the 2D plugin. And I've been using simtools for 10 years, since v1. So setting up the 2D plugin is not a problem. I've tried a lot of different configurations in the 2D plugin, and in previous simtools versions. However, I found that with the 3D plugin all movements are much more realistic, except for traction loss...

You could try adjusting the rotation point in the axis settings a bit further forward and see if it helps. Not so much that pitch feels wrong, but enough to give you more of the pivot point your looking for.

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the long post upcoming. I am having an issue with "syncing" the motion. It does not translate well from the game to the setup and I am not sure if its some form of delay or there is any other underlying issues. First let me briefly sum up the setup and how it is being used.

    1. DOF P3 setup (x2) concurrently running with 1 PC
    2. SRS software + Simtools software concurrently running (SRS for the wind blower / sim tools for motion)
    3. Simtools configured such that while in game, both chairs move simultaneously with the same feedback/direction

Previously I had no issues with this setup and it all works fine but I am not sure if there is a new plugin/patch and now the motion does not translate well. Here is some pictures of the setup. I would like to upload a video but I am unable to do so. However, if anyone is able to help please PM me.

    P.S I have tried reinstalling the plugin/game.

I would expect that if you are using 2 different types of software to try and access the same data, without some sort of port forwarding, then that would create a port conflict.

Thank you for the quick response.

I was able to utilize both software simultaneously previously though. And right now even if I close the SRS app and only use simtools, its still funky and not right.

I'm not sure how I can get a video across right now but maybe its definitely easier if I can upload the video and maybe its quite a simple software issue
