    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF, DC motor, Arduino
Hello everyone! This is my thread going through building my first ever motion simulator. Here are a few things to note. This will be a 2DOF Arduino build for personal use. Many materials have been obtained through friends, dumpster diving and hard work (Working on a very small budget). I would also like to thank everyone so much helping me with this.
Starting off here are the materials I currently have.
    upload_2025-3-16_19-35-14.png

    -Acura RSX seat
    -Lots of u-channel
-bolts, washers and everything needed for u-channel assembly
-A CV joint taken from a car. This will be used as the seat pivot point.
-VR headset used as the screen

I currently don't have the electronics as i have yet to construct the frame.

-My first major concern about this project is the seat weight, the seat is currently 50.3 lb/22.8 kg.
-Does anyone know if the car seat weight will be an issue?
    Thanks again everyone!
    :)

What is required to drive the mass depends a lot on the design chosen.

Tools like SimCalc can help get you head around the tradeoff in design Vs physics, taking in to account motor specs as well.
