I'm just getting started in this whole process eventually I would like a 4 corner actuator system with surge and traction loss but I need baby steps first. I have the opportunity to buy a stage 4 simxpierence rig for 2800. Would I be better buying the rig or saving the money and start doing the research and getting parts to build my dream setup I'm torn here and don't know much would I be able to use the actuators from the simxpierence rig with a 3rd party software? Totally new to this any direction would be greatly appreciated

    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF, SCN5
First off, they are 2 completely different motion systems. Personally, if you can afford the $2800 for the stage 4 and it's not heavily used or abused, then I would go that way myself. You'll be surprised how much that will add to your overall sim racing experience, especially in vr.

I myself built a 2dof scn5 seat mover back in 2008 and it's still going strong...Hope I didn't just jinx it.....and now with vr, it's basically all that I need for motion.

Building you own rig will require a lot of time and patients.... But that also comes with it's own special rewards too! Not to mention it will probably cost you more in the end. The stage 4 you could have up and running in a matter of hours whereas building your own could take as much as a year or more depending.

    GOOD LUCK!:)

Thanks that's kinda what I thought a little motion is a big deal from what I've heard I haven't got my VR going yet I played a little on ps4 and got motion sickness I have yet to set it up on my sim rig yet but I definitely want to get acclimated to it.
