I'm building a motion platform and want to add an emergency stop. Some people seem to choose to put stops on the motor side, others on the AC power side. I have decided to put mine on the ac power side and kill everything.

On the AC power side I also have a few choices...

    - regular emergency stop switch: simple, but in a power outage the device gets repowered when the power comes back on, and additionally all the current is going through the switch.
    - magnetic emergency stop switch: this solves the first problem, a power outage or breaker reset doesn't repower the seat - but all the current is going through the switch.
    - add a NO relay to the magnetic switch - I like this idea, but I have no idea how to wire one. Does anyone have any guidance as to what relay to buy and how to wire it?

Any suggestions or guidance in this area?
