    Length of my simulator 1400mm
    Width: 750 mm.

Honestly, never seen this design. :)
But if an idea occurred to several people. So this idea is correct.
Here is a video I came across while I Thinking my simulator project. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BT_Xnu-gAJU

I've added some brightness to your vid, as it has been so dark that I couldnt see anything.

I like your design very much
However, I think you need some additional hours to tweak the motion profiles still.

The best I managed to configure profile in GTR evo.
Effect of presence is phenomenal !!!
In Live for Speed cannot achieve this result. (
I think this is a matter of time.

    Thanks for the correction, video!

I dont get good results of LFS either. Thats why I dont like LFS. However, just my personal opinion.
Btw, you can easily add some brightness and contrast to a vid with PocketDivXencoder (freeware) for example.

The best approach to a good profile is to tweak each effect one by one, starting with longitudinal g-forces, then lateral g-forces, and finally adding some vertical g-forces (bumps, road surface). The actuators/leavers shouldnt reach end position. If they do, increase the maximum value in the Profiler math table for the corresponding effect a little.

Could you capture another GTRevo video without music please? It is easier to rate the game/chair syncro with game sounds only.
Btw, you could increase game immersion a lot if you'd mount the screen onto the seat/platform.

    OK !
A little later I will make another video with GTR.
Instead mount the monitor on the platform, I want to buy now are 3d video glasses.

Hello Deriy, Do you have instructions available for assembling the simulator with the motors and other hardware?

    Hi John!
    Sorry no.
Instruction has not yet written, and I doubt that in the near future I will write.
This process is very tedious and time consuming.
But a small drawing can be draw. Since the desired dimensions.

    Hi all!
Yesterday found a way to use a chair in the game Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
Today soldered electronics, configure profile, and a little ride.
    I really like the result.

It is a nice try and all the respect for trying such an unusual way to do it!

Unfortunately this method is going to be way too unreliable and slow.
There is delay from the system to be displayed on the screen. The screen itself will delay the light emitted and the photocells are particularly slow and low bandwidth. Then you have the joystick controller going into the PC and the processing time for that. Transmitting the data to the AMC and getting the motors to move to that position also takes time. All in all we are looking at delays adding up to a significant amount. Not to mention the amount of noise and error introduced in all the conversions, math and communications.

I also noticed that your seat bottoms out in its motion range almost all the time. You have very limited motion because of this.

Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing!

I fully agree with you ,colleague :)
Are there other ways to plugging controller to ps3, to avoid delays?
I am satisfied with this method, because I'm not a pretentious, and another way I think does not exist yet..

Hi Deriy would like to complement you on an excellent piece of work , big thanks for sharing your design with the x-sim commuity . can i ask few questions 1 ( did u make your own seat ) 2 ( did you have to modify your wiper motors to get the speed equal in both directions, again excellent workmanship and ni ce compact good looking design :)

    Hi wannabeaflyer !
Sorry, I did not understand the first question.
    I did not modify motors
    The motors have two speeds.
At slow speed, they rotate in both directions equally.
At high speeds, the difference in speed is very noticeable.
Therefore, I use a low speed.
To increase the torque and force, I am applying to motors 14-16 volts.
I am glad that you liked my design!

The speed difference can be equalised by rotating the motor housing a little.
