A test today with Ken Block in mind

Sadly Ken has jist died in a Snowmobile accident :(

The motion is around 20% of the full motion

It shook the driver to bits - the sim did not miss a beat, the motors barely got warm

See how the motion tracks the car on screen with no lag :)

    Impressive build!!
but you have to use a harness: for immersion (you'll better feel the moves, when your body is jerked you cannot feel the micro moves of the sim) and for safety?! :)

I am working on air bags and seat harnesses

We dont normally do rally cars with such large amounts of movements, it was a lot of fun.

Great build! I have a question about springs between the motors. What are they for?

Its a bit different now, but basically it stops the sim dropping down when the power is removed

    Its also a heave assist

What you mean by "heave assist"? Is it protecting against wobbling or make it easier for motors to lift you up?

the motors get an assist when they lift - but a stronger force on the way down

the motors are 12 motors in total ! 2 per actuator

My god.. Now I see it you add one motor to anothwr in parallel. Don't you afraid that reduction gearbox isn't designed for double power? But still I'm impressed and imagine if you could really hop above the ground with the whole rig ;)

    the gearboxes are very strong

with only 6 motors the rig could jump itself into the air
