    hello community people,

After playing on a d-box simulator i was sold and wanted a simulator for home use. After a lot of googling i found out about this site and started reading and reading. Thanos his joyride build draw my attention, it was the best way to proceed for me because i didn't want to spent a lot of money on my first proto type. After getting all the parts and a pair of wiper motors it was time to start building.
Because of the list of projects i already saw i thought one more post from me wouldn't be a problem. So saying this i stop talking and will show you my build.
Before i stop one more thing, can anyone help me with a good .rn2 file for Rfactor my controller is operating in simforgegt style?

    thx Pim

Hi pim. I really like your simulator. Im starting to build one now with wiper motors. It seems to work great in your video. I finished my joyrider and now want a smaller sim.

    Great build.

Hello pim, can you post the specs of the motors and where you got them?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I am from Brazil, and finished the AMC 1.5 and DSMhb PCB, but when I tested with the wiper, the motor's turn only for one side (using pot or xsim math).

Could you or someone, please, have ideas about what is happening?

    thank you

    Hi,

does your h-bridge when you turn the pots flip-flop between red and green leds?
To check try this without motors attached. Also check if your pots wiring is correct. If you have a display connected to the amc you shoot see changing values.
When pot is not correct connected and you turn the pot to zero or 1023 the light of your display will shutdown because your short cutting the amc.
Search for the video's of thanos, he explains a lot in there (how to test etc.....)

    good luck

oh yeah, also check if your pot 1 is to motor 1 and chance the + and - wire on the motor to - and +, that can also be the issue for your system to turn only one way. If without the pot attached to the motor you can let is turn both ways, than your issue is + / - attached wrongly

    greets,

    pim

    Hi pim,
I followed all your suggestions. Without the motors, only the red’s led flashing during the pots changing 0 - 1023. The display it’s ok, no short cutting
I reviewed all videos and some posts about how to test the boards. I found one post where Thanos said that the pots must be between 10 – 100K instead 250K.
I will try new pots and will check the boards again to found something wrong.
Another thing, what kind of pots are you using, 1 turn, 10 turn (how many K’s) ?
    Thank you

    Hi,

from what your saying it looks like your h-bridge is not good. Something wrong with soldering or components not good or badly placed.
Before you continue measure voltages on mosfets and check if there is no shortcut in your board somewhere.
I had this problem to with on site of the board and it was a broken mosfet.
Before you hook anything on the ports be sure that all leds can turn red or green by turning the pots.

Oh yeah with 10k pots it will work ok, thats what i'm using now.

    good luck

    Hi,

I made another h-bridge, and now its working. I have both led's turning red to green when the rotation of the motor it’s about to change.
But, I still have a problem with the pots feedback (AVR board). The same pots position controls both wipers. Why do you think that is happening?

    Thanks again for your help

This is normal, as long as you have just 1 pot connected to the AMC. Thanos programmed this as a safety precaution.
Connect a second pot, and it will work as supposed, I guess.

If you did connect both pots before, then one pot may be damaged. Check if they both work 0...5V then.
If the pots are ok, check your solderjob for shortcuts.
