Hi guys ! After having built this MIND BLOWING motion rigs, I started to work on actuators based on stepper motors.
They are similar to the OpenSFX, but are cheaper (around 300€/actuators). You can run two, three or four actuators.
They will be released on my website, and on my Discord this month !
    Here is a preview !

    Looks like a neat solution

How much can the actuator lift?

What is the speed in mm/sec

What type of stepper motor do you use?

@Gadget999 It's quite hard to tell how much it can lift, as the more weight there is, the slower it will move... But as you can see in the video, it can already lift my complete rig easily with 3 actuators only.

    Speed in mm/sec isn't that good, a bit under 100 mm/s.
Nema 34, 12Nm. In theory it is 4 times the OpenSFX torque. But the thing is : the torque will decrease more quickly with speed than with a servo motor.

Anyway, the goal wasn't to produce actuators that would compete with OpenSFX, the goal was to offer something cheaper than OpenSFX.

    Hold a French! :)

The least we can say is that it works well !
How much do you need for 3 actuators with the motors ?

Hello friend parbens for the project, get me a doubt, is there any way I can use these stepper motors in assetto corsa? how to configure the engines? do i also need to use a potentiometer on them? thank you very much, give it a go!

It is compatible with all the sims. The engines are managed by the arduino, all the informations are on my website www.lebois-racing.fr/en. No potentiometer.
