Right... mine turned white trying to explain people that DIY doesn't come with support...

I don't work with the Odrive, its too low power for the serious motion systems we use instead now. And its not fun trying to debug the external encoder and limit switches wiring, or which mosfet burned when it blows...

I heard lots of horror stories about it too, with customers still can't fix and use their odrive powered platforms years after... @IANFXUSA can enlighten you more on the subject...

You need a AASD-15A servomotor kit, like this one here

A few DB25 Male-male all 25 wires, straight, like these

And the AMC-AASD15A controller from here

If you look further down the listing on aliexpress they show a picture of two cable options they are calling a or b. Most of us were not given the option and ended up with the a option. Its up to you which one you choose. Either will work for making a sim.

Something to consider when building a sim with these servo motors is they don't normally come with shielded power cables. The encoder cable is shielded but not the power cable. There are some vendors on aliexpress that can rewire them with shielded wire per a request. Some users have reported going through the rigamorol of asking, paying a little more, and waiting for shielded power cables only to have trouble with them because the worker did not connect the shield to the connectors(so the shield was floating).

Many people cut out and solder new power wires to the motor and connectors to solve this, others wrap the cable in foil tape. Its very possible if you don't do anything you will have trouble with emi coming from the wires, screwing up your other equipment (especially vr gear).

There is a 8080 build somewhere on the internet. I thought about doing that myself. But I found an easy US vendor for 100100 including all the other hardware I needed for slot fixtures, etc.
Be warned though, the price has shot up since I purchased from them a few months ago. And you will have to make your own design for the slider, etc as the insides do not match SFX-100 profiles.

Been trying to learn Tinkercad but think I need to move to Fusion 360 . Also have SketchUP (the free one ) and the Book but the free one must be missing stuff. What are you guys using ?

Been remaking other ideas for use in the USA and the hard to get the metric supply's. I will be using 3 1/2 PVC for the cylinder's.

Hate it when people abbreviate other's names..... ;)

Glad I could help. Let me know if you go with the aluminum profile that I posted above. I will share my solidworks files with you.
