Amaizing, but, you considerer when the sistem go forward and declined to front plus your weight dont fall ? I think plus inertia's the leverage are a little close to the limit.

I'm currently sourcing parts and putting together a 2 DOF setup for testing purposes. I've been waiting a long time for the motors but they've finally arrived today. So hoping to have a functioning sim in the next few weeks which I'll post about in my other thread. Once I'm happy the parts are suitable I will continue with the 6 DOF design

Fkntastic Work.. 3dmax vray? Would you share the files? I'm not interested in copying your design (which is really cool) but getting the models of some objects that I consider really well done. (Motor- power supply, joints light settings)

Thanks very much. Modelled and constrained in Inventor and rendered in Max with Fstorm. If I get the time I will try to share some files, but most of it was found online (try grabcad)

Nice render :thumbs will likely require outriggers for stability, or just fix it in some manner to the floor.

Yes there's only so much a 3D model and calculations can tell you. Will build it and combat any balancing / stability issues by incorporating a solution into the next revision

@early_m hey what happened to your project? Are you still working on perfecting it or did it get shelved? Give us all an update at least.

    Thanks

Currently on hold due to financial reasons. I built a 2 DOF to test hardware and learn the software side of things. It's fulfilling my needs at the moment. But the dream is to still create the 6 DOF at some point.

Here's the 2 DOF and it's got its own thread if you're interested https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/f1-style-2-dof.16071/

What arduino firmware did you use to control the test 6dof?

I recently scrapped my 6 DOF rig and went back to a G seat, currently adding heave and pitch to it with 2 additional motors. I found the G seat to offer far better immersion than 6 DOF and was far cheaper to build. I am glad I did the 6 DOF as I would always have wondered how good they were, but for racing games I am not going back.
