    Hi all,

I have been lurking around forums for a couple of weeks and only into sim racing for a little bit longer than that, but I have a bunch of time and some experience 3d printing and came across the SFX-100 project recently and have decided to give it a go. I am probably jumping in to all of this too soon, but for me, failing my way through a project like this can be a lot of fun. If all goes well here my next project will be a seatbelt tensioner, which I hear will help with the surge and brake feel.

Really eager to see what we can make!

    Welcome @Onii77

Failing is an expensive way to learn, hopefully with the help of the members here you can build what you want without too many missteps.

Start in the FAQs, in particular check out the SimTools, fundamentals of motion and the design sections: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

You can go through existing member projects for specific ideas or inspiration: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Or search for specific types of projects using the Google Custom Search function on the Recent page: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/find-new/posts?recent=1

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here, ask any questions you have there and detail your project progress: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Good luck with your project.

    Good morning all,
I am a new member recently. I found this site while doing research to document myself on the achievements of a homemade simracing. Like a lot of us here I imagine. The least we can say is that I have come to the right place for this. I have read the rules of this place of sharing and I would try to respect them as well as possible, and if I accidentally made a mistake I think I would be back on track quickly because the following seems serious. And I want to say: you get better.
So over time and my progress on this project, I will post some images and discuss with those (we must be lucky enough to have a few young ladies among us here) who give me this pleasure.
I am the father of two boys aged 2 and 7 which unfortunately will not leave me much time to share here but I would do the best.
I already thank all my predecessors and creators of this site who made this site a gold mine to achieve this creations.
For this first post here is the photo of an image that inspired me for the realization of my project.
That I redesigned for reasons of realization and especially to know how with the material at my disposal.
    I know, it's immediately less fun. ;)
We go from a delirium of the Kanéda motorcycle (AKIRA) to the 103 SP but hey, you also have to be more or less realistic.
    See you soon

    Hello,

I am a beginner from Xinjiang, China. To have a racing simulator is one of my dreams since I was young. I like machinery, design, and have some experience of 3D printer.

Now I want to start to bulid it for me and my boy. It will be a great experience for us.

    Hey folks,

I'm Sielu (AKA Rooster), based in Georgia, USA. I've been lurking here for quite a few months now absorbing the vast knowledge of this community. I've built quite a few standing simpits/desks over the years, but I'm now about 80% of the way through a Bergison-style 'motion G-Seat' of my own design. Unlike many here, I'm 100% a flight simmer (DCS primarily with a bit of Elite Dangerous and MSFS at the moment) and have never really been into racing nor racing sims, though there's always the future (I do love driving, generally).

I'll start a build thread presently to log the progress I've made on that, and hopefully 'give back' a bit of my learnings to this community!

    Happy to be here!

    Hello Chaps,
I can't afford a Porche or a Ferrari, I'm bald so can't grow a pony tail or a mullet, I love my Mrs so can't pull any dolly birds, I've just given up the booze so I guess this will be my mid life crisis..
I'm overwhelmed by all this and have not a clue where to start, but damn it I am going to build a 3 dof within the next 12 months. Its gonna be one hell of a ride for one hell of a ride. Glad I found you all. Prepare for questions. Lots of questions. Lol. I'm Salisbury way BTW. UK.

    Hello all,

My name is Chris and I'm in looking to build my first rig. Mainly for helicopter flight Sims (MSFS)

I think it's best if you all just treat me like a complete idiot as I'm still very much new to all this.

Looking forward to getting stuck in.

Thanks in advance for all your help
