we bought it without a system, just bare windows. We don't know if SimTools is right for us. We have no experience with this. Tell me what I need to send you a photo so you can help me.

Pictures of the control boards and motors would be helpful, so we know what hardware is being used.

It's just their controller is locked to their motion software, and since you didn't get that, this machine is going to be sitting there like a ton of bricks...

Plus, they sold you old technology AC motor with VFD inverters, they could easily supply it with servomotors, that are more efficient, faster and more accurate.

what can I do to make it work? change the control board?

I'm not sure if it even worth it. You still have to deal with old technology motors... Its really PITA to try to retrofit these, I have been there before, never again :p

I dunno, maybe get the rest of the system from these guys? Do they support multiple games or just one game (arcade mode)??

Hi Guys just chipping in here , seeing as how you have all the major mechanical elements but obsolte or unsupported controller , how about swapping out the ac induction motors for Servo motors with suitable adapter plate . now basically you can use newer tech as in AASD servo and controller and with thanos Controller and Fly Pt Mover software , that way your not tied to one simulation pacake .. resell the AC motors and old controller on FleaBat ? maybe to recoup some of the money , i suspect these Reduction Garboxes will be prety decent so maybe its not mecanically difficult to Make custom servo mounting plates and that way youl have a prety robust system ...... Hey im no excpert , but seems that if your commitied to this setup because of no returnss policy then a few mech tweaks may just get you up and running .....yes i know easier said than done , but might be easier than 1st appears ..need more close up pics of gearbox and stuff :)

If this machine is for business try to buy from the same guys the rest of the components to make it work and if you want more machines, "copy" the design and buy big actuators and Simtools software
If this was my simulator I would get rid of all the motors and controllers (sell them somehow) keep the frame and the things you like and move to Simtools. PT actuators and Thanos controller would be a good buy

if someone has the original software for XD-MOTION or the ability to remove the image from the hard disk, then I can try to adapt it
