Showroom Newbie with 2 dof

A bit more progress this weekend. Most components fitted in their place.

Back together until next weekend.
Hopefully have it running by end of month.

Fired it up today, and all appears to be in working order.

I removed the shaker amplifier that I previously posted a picture of, turns out it's junk. Claimed 200 watt max power. I know these figures are often inflated, but I was only looking to get less than half that claimed wattage. Turns out that amp only puts out 10 watts per channel at 4 ohms.

So I purchased some new amp parts based off this post, it is a great write up about shaker amps.

Just waiting on my two mini amplifier boards I ordered. Everything else is wired up and working. Now I will need to relearn simtools and Gamevibe. Gotta give credit to you guys doing the compact builds. Mines a little bigger, and as you can see it's still quite a tight fit with everything installed.

New build is complete, and working! I have a lot of motor setup, and profile work to, and I don't remember how to use simtools, so I'll be busy over the next couple weeks getting re acquainted.

Upgrade time again.
Added thrustmaster t lcm load cell pedals, and upgraded with 3drap brake mod. The brake feels very nice now!


Since I can't move the seat, had to make sure the pedals are adjustable.


I also ordered my first direct drive wheel. Spent months deciding if I wanted to buy or build. Recently they have become pretty affordable, so not much sense in building right now.

Decided on the Simagic alpha mini for $550. 10nm should be plenty for me.


Not going to use the wireless functionality of this base because the wheels are fairly expensive, so I bought some quick releases, and a couple cheaper wheels.



Can't wait to finish up now!
