I think your second option is a bit low for pitch torque and that the first is a better option and balance between pitch and roll torque:

in the coming week i will re weigh all rig with peripherals and myself again to confirm the exact weight as i am sure it is less than the quoted 160kg, but i feel more comfortable overshooting as i dont know what i might add to the rig in the future.

Im gonna go with the assumption that with the above values,. i should be good with approx 160kg.... at worst i will have to change the CTC i guess.

Why do you have meanings with different signs? The rod and motor, judging by the photo, are on the same side

    Hi Michael,

Yes i noticed that last night and in fact changed it. It gave me more degrees so i guess its a good thing as the torque figures remained the same :)

    Thanks for pointing it out!

Increased CTC from 30mm to 50mm, moved motors to still get a 90 degree angle, partially mounted traction loss motor.
Structure is paractically complete from the metal work, i just need to relocate the gearbox plate as i got the Fanatec gearbox and its very high.

I will soon start on the monitor stand and then sand and spray everything.

Hopefully the above should be done by the end of month.... then its ready for wiring.

The plan is that after i test everything and make sure everything works fine, i will close off the structure with some kind of lightweight panels, but still need to see what would be best to use.... IMG_1699.jpg IMG_1697.jpg

MM cooling sorted.... just need to attach the heat sink.

the fan is an 80mm 12v fan. Bit of an overkill :)

Lol, I know the feeling. Once dialed in, it is truly an awesome experience. Consider adding some bass shakers once it's complete. I can't imagine my rig without those anymore, even more so than the motion at times, but together they truly make for an amazing experience.

Yes already looking into them :) But to be honest i spent wayyyyy too much already as after i started building i decided to buy all the fanatec gear I needed (wanted) as before i just had a 920 :) so they will have to wait a bit.

Today was a loooooonnnggg and productive day 8am-11:45pm! To say I’m knackered would be putting it lightly! But I am glad to say that it’s done and finally at home. Over the weekend I’ll put it back up together as I had to dismantle it to spray paint it and then start with the electronics.

Nice job, you are 1 step ahead oh me. I still haven't pulled mine back down to paint it after 2 or 3 years. Good job.

Didn’t want to try it before I paint. Cause I’m sure I wouldn’t have dismantled it again :)
