Put together a little how-to vid for my 3d printed gimbal, the files and BOM are over at thingiverse.

I've got a 4pin aircraft plug on the gimbal so I can quick swap sticks.

Very cool! I was just thinking about making my own joystick to better fit on my sim rig. I have an ancient Sidewinder FFB Pro and my dad has a Thrustmaster T Flight HOTAS One, but both are a bit bulky, neither has real base mounting for a rig, and the Sidewinder has extra buttons for your left hand that just add to the bulk of a stick. A stick is really just two pots on a gimbal, so it got me thinking about making my own and mounting it more like a real flight stick in a plane (low and between my legs with a longer shaft). This could potentially make that a lot easier.

Let me know how it goes, I've been wanting to test this with a long stick to see how it holds up.

Very good idea, this can be used on manual gear shifters
