Not to open a new thread but I'm having difficulties running DCS_Ext plugin i.e. when I load the game, the Game Manager still states "Not Connected"? I entered the correct IP address (generated by YawVR mobile app) but no luck. I am sure I'm doing something wrong here so, any help is appreaciated.

Are there any error messages when patching for motion and is the DCS_Ext plugin the only one installed?

I am not able to patch at all. When it asks me for a DCS OpenBeta location and I enter the path (Browse) and click Apply, I get the "Not patched?" pop-up.

If I understand correctly motion comp. is not mandatory?

I also have other several plugins installed for other games and didn't really try running them as DCS is my fav right now.

Thanks for all the help so far! :)

Not being patched explains the 'not connected' issue.

If you temporarily disable the firewall and antivirus does DCS then patch successfully?

Ok I will. Just now, out of curiosity, I tried and successfully patched F12020 in Game Manager. Hadn't tried if it will actually "Connect" as my YawVR is currently not setup but it's interesting that it did patch the game and when I try the same with DCS OpenBeta, it will not. (I even tried renaming the DCS Open Beta folder to "DCS" to try to "fool" the patch, but no luck..

    Will report on further findings.

Just to back up for a moment and check the fundamentals, does your rig work as expected in Output Testing?

I am aware of that section but I am not sure how to test it with YawVR?

^^That linked helped a lot. I had to install YawVR driver and entered all the settings as instructed in that post.
Two issues remain: I do not now how to actually "Test" output settings with YawVR. I turn on the chair and move the sliders in the Game Engine but nothing happens i.e. the chair is not moving, not sure how this works?

And of course, it still won't allow me to patch the game and it's still "Not Connected" when I enter DCS World..

Thanks for all the help so far..needless to say, this is very frustrating..

I am really running out of ideas here.
I even got "In Game: Sim Tools" to show up in my YawVR Mobile App (after selecting "YawVR" under Interface Settings -> Interface Type, which should indicate my YawVR is "talking" to SimTools (entering the correct IP address etc).

HOWEVER, Game Manager STILL shows "Not Connected" and of course, no YawVR input ingame.

Mind you, my YawVR works with the manufacturer's Game Engine software (and I am able to fly DCS World, albeit only FC3 modules) so the issue shouldn't be the hardware itself..

I finally managed to make YawVR work with Simtools by....completely uninstalling Simtools and installing the latest Beta version. The moment I started latest Beta, I could see the "Connected" indicator and everything from that point on, worked (profile installation, patching, axis setup etc.)

It appears the version I previously had was somehow porked as, it just simply didn't work.

Noorbeat, thanks again for helping me out with this issue. It is very much appreaciated.
