I was wondering how you guys felt about this actuator. It is far less money.

Linear actuators are gear-driven drive motors that extend the shaft with 107 lbs. of force and have a 500 lb static load.

Hi Ya i think you'll find that the speed is too low i belive the guys indicate that you need at least 150mm/sec to get close to good simulation movement :) just my 2 cents But hey dont quote me on that Cheers.

For some reason I couldn't get my head around the 150mm/sec movement. Guess I just saw the price

Frex is direct distributor of this Japanese actuator and knows how to fix it and reinforce the internal mechanism.
simexperience is just a copy of Frex motion style and system and buy the actuator from their distributor in Canada.

100mm seems enough and better when the seat set to low with damper system.

Frex offers no warranty. SimXperience offers a 1 year warranty. Take your pick. Depending on where you live, shipping cost may also be an issue.

Stant...I invite you to drive the SimXperience difference. I'm guessing that you must not have driven a 150mm system with a third actuator for rear traction loss.

Yeah, I have to say, Frex has terrible customer service. I say this from personal experience and the experiences read from many others.

I would look into alternative options like SimExperience.

Hmm.. Then by your logic Stant, I guess a Porsche is a Ford Model T copy? Perhaps you would like to write a detailed comparison for us so that we can all better understand your point. I could use some new marketing material anyway.

To the poor soul who simply asked where they can purchase SCN5 actuators, the link is: http://www.simxperience.com/Store/tabid ... fault.aspx

Moderator, perhaps you can open a new thread for Stant so he can explain to the world how Frex, SimXperience and CXC simulators are all alike. This thread is about actuators.

Well, technically all cars are copies of the german Karl Benz (later Mercedes-Benz) Motorwagen Nr.1 8)

Karl Benz got the first patent for a motorised carriage in 1886.
