You can use 3 Arduinos with SMC3.

Not a manual, but there are plenty of detailed project builds.

The FAQs have an overview, but is is a bit dated: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/6dof.22/category

It would be best to use the Google Search on the Recent page, search for 6DOF, then filter by date, to get the most recent builds, most of which are using servos not Arduinos.

all the answers to your questions are here on the forum - read read and read some more

one of the first things you will need to decide is if you want to use linear actuators or gear motors

have you got a budget in mind

i suggest you build a model 6dof using RC servo motors first

If you are going down the DC 6DOF path it is probably a good idea to check out some similar current builds and compare hardware, here are a couple:

thank you very much noorbeast i have been researching on the forums and i have seen interesting projects in 3 dof with cardan in the center of the saddle, less motors less headaches.
