    Hello guys,
    I'm building a motion seat.
Unfortunately, I really have problems controlling the motors.
    I use a 24V 30A power supply for 2 motors, an Arduino Uno R3 and a Sabertooth 2x32.
I can't get the motors moving with a potentiometer.
But when I play around with the Sabertooth jumper, the motors start and run continuously.
There's something wrong with the Sabertooth jumpers.
I've been reading the forum for days
Unfortunately I still haven't made it.
    Maybe someone could help me.
    That would be great.
    thanks, people

Are you using @BlazinH's modified SMC3 code for Sabertooth, or something else?

If so have you followed the wiring diagram and set the dip switches properly:

Thanks for your reply ! I triedbto upload SPS tobthe Arduino but while checking the file there is a problem. Something seems to be not correct with the sketch.
Then i tried SMC3 and the connection is working. I can see something while turning the potentiometer
    But the motors are silent.
Excuse me for my english. I will try my best

You shouldn't be setting jumpers until you know what you're doing. Make sure to read and understand the SPS tutorial and that the 2x32 is set to 115200 baud using DEscribe software. https://www.dimensionengineering.com/info/describe.

I read and understood the SPS tutorial and tried to follow it.
The baud is correctly. On Arduinonand Sabertooth. Both are on 115200
When i try to open the smc util 1.0 or 1.01 i cannot open it.
    When i use another smc3 file i can open smc v 1.0

SPS is mostly the same code as SMC3 but with drivers for Sabertooth controllers. However utilities and the Arduino must communicate at 500000 baud so if you have a jumper on pin 8 to gnd it can't connect. That option should only be used if you have communication issues between Simtools and the Arduino or clone.

I mean the only reason I know of at this point why it won't connect would be if arduino pin 8 to gnd option is used to change baud from 500000 to 115200.

The Arduino baud is 115200....only in the settings of simtools it is writtennthat you should use 500000. By the way with simtools i have no connection to SMC3.
And the main problem was that the motors are like dead. Theres no Impuls. Nothing. In germany we say ' i am finished with my Latinum ' haha....it is frustrating. I think i am not so far away from moving motors. But wheres the mistake ?

When you power up or reset SPS sketch it will automatically set its baud to 500000 unless pin 8 is grounded first. Utilities can only use 500000 baud because it doesn't have a way for the user to change it.

You need to get connected to utilities before this matters.

I will upload the SPS sketch first now again. And then ? What do i have to change to open a motor connection controlled via the potentiometer in SMC3 ( with your sketch )
