hi everyone, i have a problem where simtools is not moving the motors, at all
im using SMC3 (rufus) on an arduino UNO
wiper motors and 2x 43a chinese IBT2 controllers

ive uploaded the code onto the UNO and ive got the motors moving inside the utility program using the motion or manual setting 20210127_173722[1].jpg

on the simtools side i have the com port selected corectly and im getting readings inside the tuning centre when i run LFS.
i have the axis assignmetnts set to pitch and roll 100% with one dir selected although ive tried surge and sway at 50% etc and still nothing 20210127_173722[1].jpg 20210127_182148[1].jpg 20210127_182204[1].jpg 20210127_182229[1].jpg

if an expert or anyone can suggest something i may have missed or could try id be eternally grateful !
    thank you

Hi have you captured max and min in tuning centre?

Are the numbers in the top row of tuning centre (game data input) changing as you drive around the track?

    TC.JPG

Also i wouldnt run 100% on pitch and roll

As an example you would want all the forces to add up to between 100% and 130% ish

hello, thanks for getting back to me. Yes im getting readings in the green line game data input when the car is being driven around the track

ive also adjusted the axis asignments to 50%
i only have pitch and roll included here as there is only two motors, is that correct ?

Your Interface Output settings are incorrect: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-2-input-settings.294/

They should be like this: [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][C<Axis3a>]

While you only have 2DOF you can use them to simulate sway, surge, heave, roll and pitch.

Grab a copy of the SimTools manual and keep it handy for reference: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/rtfm-start-with-the-official-simtools-documentation.117/

And see the motion profile tuning tips here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

Make sure LFS is run before it is patched for motion: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...run-in-first-person-mode-before-patching.365/

Your Clip and Max values looks pretty low and there would not normally be the same value, see the SMC3 tuning guide here: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/#post-48121

Hi I ran it again and it was giving readings in the green section so I captured min max. Also changed the amount of axis and also changed a couple of settings that noorbeast suggested and its working now. Thanks for your help much appreciated
