Gearbox add-on. Lever cover. First, you need to cut the material in accordance with the dimensions in the drawing. Add 10mm to the side as shown by the dashed line
    Sweep cover drawing.png IMG_20210103_130230.jpg IMG_20210103_130240.jpg
Sew with thread. You should get this cone
    IMG_20210103_170451.jpg IMG_20210103_170723.jpg IMG_20210103_170754.jpg
Print out the ring “Ring_handle.STL”. See file for printing below. Pass the handle into the sewn cover and press the ring on top. If it dangles, use glue. I got it very tight and holds great without additional glue fixation
    IMG_20210103_222843.jpg IMG_20210103_222900.jpg IMG_20210103_223439.jpg IMG_20210103_225346.jpg
Print the cover “Onlay.STL” and screw it with spirally grooved nail 2.5x13 to the gearbox. There are already holes for this!
    IMG_20210103_225450.jpg IMG_20210103_225900_2.jpg IMG_20210104_101013.jpg
Screw the handle with the cover onto the lever
    IMG_20210103_230700.jpg
Print out the “Ring.STL” ring. Fasten the ring from above with 10 screws with 2.5x13 self-tapping screws, carefully tucking the bottom edge of the cover under the ring. It should look like this. Good luck!

I think it's time to introduce the third axle (traction loss). Convert 2DOF to 3 DOF:)

What angle would you recommend for traction loss?

Around 150mm each way, so something around 300mm total.

Thanks for the advice. I thought about the same:) I understand that the load on the motor will be less than that of other motors. I have a BLDC 150W motor, through the gearbox I think that's enough

Improved gear knob. It is larger and feels better in the hand

There is a huge amount of flex in the base, which will also affect motion fidelity.

An adapter for a shaft with a diameter of 8 with a flat (red arrow in the picture) for a diameter of 14 with a key is included with the gearbox
    Adapter.png
As you can see in the photo below, on the inner diameter of 8 flat (red arrow in the figure), it is almost worn out. After a while, the connection between the motor and the gearbox would be interrupted
    IMG_20210321_211900.jpg
Best used without an adapter. Select the appropriate shaft on the motor to connect directly to the gearbox

That looks a bit scary. have you considered making the base longer both back to front and side to side, that will help stop the rig from jumping of the ground . that weakens the plastic joint brackets that hold the rig together or maybe switch to steel brackets
